Less well-known in heritage field, Tannery Haas is widely known for supplying ultra-luxury fashion houses like Hermès and Chanel. It had operated for generations as a family-run business before finally joining the Chanel Group to protect its traditional craft and scale its output.

Haas Suportlo calf is a heavy-duty, heavily-greased full-grain calfskin leather, as thick as work boot grade 5~5.5oz, which is not commonly seen among other calfskin producers.  It comes naturally with a light white surface bloom (excess natural fats rising to the top), which easily buffs away with a brush. The Suportlo calfskin we use are specially tanned with teacore finish. One can tell from the cross-section of leather the raw/natural undertone
