What truly sets this piece apart is the use of a distinctly uncommon beige nubuck shearling. With its soft, velvety nap and warm, muted tone, it stands in clear contrast to the glossy white shearling more commonly seen on the market. Across major military reproduction makers—whether British brands like Eastman and Aero Leather, or Japanese names such as The Real McCoy’s, and Buzz Rickson’s—this particular shade and texture are rarely encountered. To my knowledge, only Toys McCoy has ever released something similar.

It carries a natural depth and a suede-like surface that develops a rich, attractive patina over time. Unlike smooth-finish leather, it also avoids the cracking that often appears with age. For these reasons, I find this version of the B-6 to be especially compelling—both visually and in long-term wear.
